Interested In Joining Our Reserve Program?

Our Reserve Firefighters provide a pool of qualified part-time employees to supplement our full-time staff. Many of our full-time employees began their careers as a Reserve Firefighter/EMT.

Reserve firefighters work a minimum of 48 hours a month and a maximum or 120 hours a month, in 24-hour shift increments. While on probation reserve firefighters will ride as the 4th person with one of our engine companies,  once they have completed their initial firefighter task book they become eligible to ride as the primary firefighter on an engine.

Reserve firefighter applicants must have graduated from an approved fire academy and/or possess an IFSAC or ProBoard Firefighter 1 certification, they must also possess a valid Idaho EMT (or higher) license or COE (certificate of eligibility).

We are not currently accepting applications for the position of Reserve Firefighter/EMT. Please check our website and publicsafetytesting.com for future openings.
